Course Prerequisites

- Current Safety Afloat training (can be done online at scouting.org)

- At least 15 years old

- Complete BSA swimmer test prior to event

$12.00 per registrant

Learn how to supervise and safely conduct Paddlecraft situations and trips. Trip planning

education is included!

Each participant should bring:

Bag Lunch

Water Bottle

Signed health history (BSA Form 680-001 A, B1, B2)

Confirmation of current Safety Afloat Training (print certificate from your my.scouting account)

Shoes and appropriate Swimsuit 

Knee pads if desired

Towel 

Change of clothes – warm clothes

Rain gear

Sunscreen

Hat

Pen or pencil

Eyeglass strap if needed.

Schedule:

8:30am start - orientation

          morning classroom session

          On water training

Lunch - bring your own bag lunch.

          Out on Crystal Lake in the afternoon

          2:15pm Exam taken.

          2:30pm Session completed.
